National Day for Truth and Reconciliation now a statutory holiday in British Columbia
On March 9, 2023, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Act, SBC 2023, c.4 received Royal Assent.
As discussed in our previous post, the Act adds September 30 to British Columbia’s statutory holidays. Commencing this year, all provincially-regulated employers in British Columbia are required to provide eligible employees with a statutory holiday in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
