Directors’ College, now in its twenty-ninth year, is the nation’s premier executive education program for directors and senior executives of publicly traded firms. At Directors’ College, participants engage with leading CEOs, directors, regulators, jurists, and scholars on a rigorous and balanced examination of a broad range of issues that confront modern boards, including the board’s role in business strategy, ESG, CEO succession, techniques for controlling legal liability, challenges posed by activist investors, boardroom dynamics, the state of the macroeconomy, the politicization of the corporation, and emerging ransomware and cybersecurity threats.

Directors' College 101: Board Fundamentals is a new program brought to you by the Arthur and Toni Rembe Rock Center for Corporate Governance, which has been hosting Stanford Directors' College for more than 25 years. At Directors' College 101, first-time public company directors will learn from leading academics, experienced board members, and practitioners about the fundamental aspects of being an effective board member.
