Doing Business in Africa for Franchisors

Tuesday, April 9, 2024

For many franchisors, Africa represents a wealth of opportunities for expansion and investment. DLA Piper has a significant presence in 20 countries on the continent through DLA Piper Africa, a Swiss verein whose members are comprised of independent law firms in Africa working with DLA Piper. This longstanding network of firms provides local insights and global experience to businesses across a variety of sectors and practice areas, including those in the franchise space.

Partners from the US, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa discussed the opportunities, challenges, and considerations facing franchisors as they embark on doing business in Africa.
