DLA Piper hosted a discussion on challenges and opportunities related to franchise agreements in Latin America, as well as relevant business and legal approaches across the region.

We examined the categorization of franchise agreements as distribution agreements or adhesion agreements, considerations related to Franchise Disclosure Documents, choice of law and jurisdiction, arbitration procedures, termination clauses, restrictive covenants, non-competition provisions, among others.
