Axel Visschedijk is a real estate lawyer and candidate civil-law notary specializing in transactional and (re)development mandates with a particular focus on offices, retail and light industrial/logistics assets.

Axel combines expertise in real estate law and notarial law. He is therefore extraordinarily qualified to manage transactions efficiently and successfully navigate and advise clients throughout the complete acquisition process. His perspective allows him to provide one stop shop advice on transactions and developments. This includes advising on portfolio transactions, (turnkey) development projects, sale and lease back arrangements, joint ventures and share deals. From his interdisciplinary role, he works closely with lawyers from the real estate, tax, finance and corporate practice groups on complex matters. 

Axel is recognized for being client focused and responsive, providing pragmatic and solution-focused advice and successfully closing complex negotiations. 

Axel has obtained a significant track record in investments and developments in sectors such as residential, hotels/leisure and life sciences. He regularly acts for clients on corporate restructuring and financing mandates, working alongside specialized finance and corporate lawyers.

  • Advising a Belgian listed real estate investment trust on the acquisition of numerous existing and turnkey development logistics properties in the Netherlands.
  • Assisting a French institutional real estate investment company on the acquisition and disposal of office, retail, hotel, laboratory and commercial properties in the Netherlands.
  • Advising an institutional investor on the disposal of a high value portfolio of logistic properties through a share deal.
  • Assisting a pharmaceutical company on the development and acquisition of a 20,000 square meter laboratory and production building on Leiden Bio Science Park.
  • Advising a German real estate investor on the acquisition of a residential portfolio of approximately 1,500 units via a combined asset and share deal.
  • Assisting a developer of business parks on the development, property law structuring and sale of high tech business parks in the Netherlands.
