Melody Lilazy

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Melody worked pro bono, as a legal intern, for military veterans on disability matters, including representing them in their Board of Veterans' Appeals hearings. She also worked as a law clerk for a local IP firm where she focused on trademark and copyright matters. Melody also served as an executive member of several student organizations, on campus, including the Transactional Law Team, the San Diego Journal of Climate & Energy Law, and the Name & Gender Marker Clinic.

Prior to law school, Melody worked in the fashion industry, for several years, successfully managing the flagship location of a local, women's fashion retail chain. She also worked as a research assistant in an evolutionary behavioral ecology lab.
