Matthew Cole appointed new Head of Corporate in Ireland

Global law firm, DLA Piper, has appointed Matthew Cole as the new head of its corporate practice in Ireland. He takes over from Éanna Mellett who has completed a successful four year term in the role.  The appointment takes place with immediate effect.

Éanna Mellett’s term as Head of Corporate saw him oversee the establishment and significant growth of the practice to a team of 20 lawyers and business professionals. As a Partner at DLA Piper, he will continue to work alongside Matthew to drive the Group forward.

Matthew joined DLA Piper as Partner in 2020 and has since been a core part of the Irish corporate team and one of the firm’s most active M&A partners, leading some of the firm´s most valuable international client relationships.
