DLA Piper's Natasha Luther-Jones and Peter Ihrfelt recognised in The Legal Power List 2020

DLA Piper’s Global Co-Chair of Energy and Natural Resources, Natasha Luther-Jones, and the firm's Head of the Energy sector in Sweden, Peter Ihrfelt, have been once again named as two of the 100 most influential lawyers in the global wind energy industry, in The Legal Power List 2020 published by the intelligence service A Word About Wind.

Now in its third edition, the Legal Power List ranks the top 100 brightest and best legal minds working in the global wind industry across in-house counsel and at law firms.

Natasha, who has also recently been appointed as DLA Piper’s International Co-Head for Sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance, advises on various types of renewable energy projects in the energy sector and has developed DLA Piper's leading Corporate PPA practice acting for generators, sponsors, funders and corporate off-takers. She worked on Google's first PPA outside of the US, and since then has been involved in numerous corporate end-user PPAs, including with high-profile companies in the consumer, telecoms, banking, beverage, IT, industrial and retail sectors. Natasha also advised Nord L/B on the UK's first project financed non-subsidy on-shore wind farm the European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) on their precedent standard PPA and CSEIP on the 500 MW Nordic wind portfolio. She regularly advises on developments, project financings, acquisitions and sales of wind farms across EMEA.

Peter focuses on investment transactions across many sectors but is particularly experienced in advising on wind deals. He recently led the team advising OX2 for the completion of the Valhalla Wind Farm to Aquila Capital. Other recent transactions include sale of wind farms to investors such as Ardian, Green Investment Group, Fontavis, Marguerite and Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust as well as acquisition of green field project from inter alia PNE AG.
