DLA Piper advises Complete Solaria in its purchase of assets of SunPower for US$45 million

DLA Piper represented Complete Solaria Inc., an end-to-end solar energy solutions company, in connection with the closing of its asset purchase agreement (APA) with SunPower Corp., a solar technology and energy services provider, for US$45 million.

With the closing of the APA, Complete Solaria acquires assets associated with SunPower’s Blue Raven Solar business, New Homes business, and the Non-Installing Dealer network.

“It was a pleasure to advise Complete Solaria throughout this stalking horse bid process and we look forward to supporting the company as it continues its mission of being a solar energy leader,” said Richard Chesley, the DLA Piper partner who co-led the deal team.

In addition to Chesley (New York), the DLA Piper team was co-led by partner Jamila Willis (New York) and included partners Stuart Brown (Wilmington) and Gerry Williams (Atlanta) associates Malithi Fernando, Jasmine Judge, and Angie Franco (all in New York), Erik Stier (Washington, DC), and Matt Sarna (Wilmington).
