About

Janet Zheng advises on the development, acquisition and disposal of energy and natural resources projects.  Janet advises on the LNG supply chain, including on LNG vessel procurement, chartering, and the development of LNG export and import terminals and on LNG sale and purchase.  Janet also has other upstream and downstream petroleum projects, and mining and power projects.

Janet also has significant experience in equity and debt transactions, and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Medco Energi on its USD1.355bn acquisition from ConocoPhillips of a 54% working interest in the Corridor Block and a 35% interest in the Transasia Pipeline Company, operator of the Grissik-Duri and Grissik-Singapore pipeline systems which supply gas under long-term contracts to Indonesian and Singaporean buyers – 2022 Energy Council Deal of the Year for Asia Pacific.
  • A US mining company on the development of a proposed LNG-to-power project in Indonesia, including development of a floating LNG receiving terminal and downstream pipeline, to transition from diesel and coal-fired power plant currently used in its mining operations to gas-fired power plant.
  • An Asian energy company on preparation of HOAs, MSAs and SPAs with multiple LNG sellers.
  • A European energy company on the long-term purchase of LNG from several Gulf Coast LNG projects.
