Sofia's experience includes:

• 889 Trading Limited v Clydesdale Bank plc (2021) - acting for the Defendant bank in High Court proceedings defending a fraudulent misrepresentation claim with a claim value in excess of GBP 44 million. As lead fee earner, experience includes preparing for and attending multiple interim application hearings. 
• Acting for a European headquartered bank in a £61m fraud claim where the disclosure exercise will go back nearly 17 years.
• Boyse (International) Limited -v- NatWest Markets PLC (2020): acting for the defendant bank in striking out a LIBOR manipulation claim on limitation grounds. This is believed to be the first case in which the English courts have considered limitation in the context of LIBOR claims.
• Acting for the Department of Health and Social Care in respect of its defence of a claim for judicial review brought by the campaigning group, the Good Law Project Limited. The challenge concerned the award of contracts by DHSC in 2020 to Abingdon Health Limited (now Abingdon Health plc) to develop and produce an antibody lateral flow device test. Experience includes conducting a large-scale disclosure review process involving highly sensitive documents. 
• Acting for a Core Participant in the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry and defending the client in the complex multi-party litigation that ensued from the events of 14 June 2017. Experience includes conducting a large-scale multi-party disclosure review process and collating witness evidence from senior executives to disclose to the Inquiry.  
• Representing a UK government body in respect of a national arbitration concerning mining subsidence.  Experience includes deposing and drafting evidence from government individuals in connection with the arbitration. 
• Acting for a national technology company in a multi-million pound shareholder dispute concerning alleged fraudulent misrepresentations claimed to induce prospective shareholders into purchasing shares. Experiences includes managing the large and complex disclosure process.
• Acting for a national property developer in professional negligence proceedings issued in the High Court against a law firm with a claim value in excess of GBP 21 million. Experience includes drafting extensive pre-action correspondence and proofs of evidence from directors connected to the dispute. 
• Acting for a Fortune 500 company in respect of an internal investigation into allegations of potential fraud and misconduct. Experience includes working as a team under time pressure to review and report on thousands of documents.
