Brandon supports clients across a broad array of sectors, including in heavily regulated industries as well as emerging companies, on compliance with data privacy and information security laws and regulations. As part of his practice, Brandon assists clients with developing meaningful privacy and cybersecurity compliance programs, as well as advising on cyber incident preparedness and response.
As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US, CIPP/E), Brandon advises clients on existing, proposed, and emerging state, federal, and international data protection laws and regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), as well as various other emerging privacy laws.
Brandon also helps clients proactively manage and mitigate data protection and cybersecurity risks through vendor risk management and by enhancing client’s incident response plans and information security policies and procedures.
Additionally, Brandon assists clients both domestically and internationally in coordinating their cyber incident response efforts, including advising on applicable state, federal, and international data protection and security laws, as well as domestic and global breach notification obligations.
