Matt Strawbridge

Matt Strawbridge is an associate in the corporate practice group in the Los Angeles - Century City office. Matt represents high-growth technology-based companies and their investors, advising clients through the various stages of a company’s life cycle, from formation to exit. With expertise in venture capital and general corporate practice, he provides counseling in the representation of and investment in emerging growth companies, ranging from new founders with an idea to Fortune 500 strategic investors to the largest venture capital firms.

Matt brings to his practice many years of experience working both as outside and inside counsel. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Matt worked in-house at two venture-backed companies and for a Los Angeles law firm servicing growth-stage clients, assisting with transactions from incorporation through M&A. He advises companies and investors in complex and evolving industries, including new media, gaming and virtual reality, education and blockchain technologies. He is passionate about the intersections of law, technology and creativity, and as such, he is well-situated to address the challenges of growth clients and to establish protections for investors who invest in such companies.
