About

Nandan Padmanabhan is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on high-stakes intellectual property litigation, with a specific focus on patent and trade secret litigation.  Nandan's clients include global companies across multiple industries, with particular experience in the fields of consumer electronics, semiconductors, software, automotive, and media/entertainment.  Nandan regularly represents clients in federal district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  He also represents clients in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.  Nandan has a background in computer engineering, and frequently leads the technical analysis and strategy for patent infringement cases, many of which involve highly complex electronics, software, and wireless patents. 

Nandan has extensive trial experience including witness examinations, and has played an integral role on trial teams that achieved favorable jury verdicts and ITC verdicts.  He exhibits an exacting attention to detail and works closely with engineers and experts to distill highly technical concepts into comprehensible and persuasive legal arguments, a significant factor leading to successful verdicts and settlements.  In addition to his technical prowess, Nandan has demonstrated the ability to efficiently manage cases and contribute effectively to strategic litigation decisions.

Prior to law school, Nandan utilized his undergraduate education in computer engineering to design and develop custom software solutions and manage implementation teams for a large bank as well as a consulting firm.
