Damon Osborne represents clients in the acquisition, development, and operation of commercial real estate, with a particular focus on representing tenants and owners in leasing transactions.

Damon has extensive experience representing domestic and international retailers, anchor shopping center tenants, office tenants, and property owners in leasing and development transactions. Damon has negotiated leases for tenants and owners in retail shopping centers, mixed-use projects and urban office buildings. He also has represented parties in leasing transactions involving warehousing and distribution center facilities and other industrial properties. Damon is experienced with ground leases and other tenant-developed projects, as well as "build-to-suit" developments, and he has extensive knowledge of the construction-related considerations in leasing transactions.

Damon's extensive experience working with anchor retail tenants and working in-house at a major retail chain gives him practical insight into retail operations to help clients effectively balance business objectives with the mitigation of risk.

Recent examples of Damon's experience include:

  • Representing an international grocery retailer in its expansion throughout the Eastern U. S., which has included the negotiation of leases, including urban mixed-use locations, and the acquisition of multiple leased locations from other retailers.
  • Representing an international online retailer in the negotiation of leases for physical retail store locations in the U.S. 
  • Representing a developer of a 62-acre mixed-use development in the lease of space to a major U.S. grocery retailer. 
  • Representing an international financial consulting firm in its office leasing activities throughout the U.S.
  • Representing an institutional investor by negotiating the leasing aspects of the acquisition of a $460M ground lease asset. 
  • Representing the owner of a landmark Boston office building in the renegotiation of a 1.1 million square foot single tenant lease, which included surrender substantial portions of the property and conversion of the building to multi-tenant occupancy.
