Laura is a Partner in the Corporate department. She focuses on corporate insurance, providing corporate advice to insurance industry clients, including insurers and brokers. Her practice includes warranty and indemnity insurance (acting both for insurers and buyers), mergers and acquisitions within the general and Lloyd's insurance markets, Part VII insurance transfers, capital raisings for insurers, including collateralised reinsurance side cars and longevity risk transactions.
She also advises on general mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, company law, corporate governance and FCA Handbook and PRA Rulebook issues (including Listing Rules advice). Whilst on secondment to the UK branch of a major American insurer, Laura also advised on policy wording and on the sale and distribution of insurance products.
Laura served as a pro bono trustee of Catch 22, a national charity which seeks to transform the lives of vulnerable people. She has also been involved in the firm’s participation in the Lloyd’s Dive In festival on diversity and inclusion.
