Peter Landau advises US- and foreign-based companies on a broad range of domestic and international tax matters, including international, M&A, US state and local, and US renewable energy tax credits. Peter supports clients ranging from start-ups to large public companies in a wide variety of sectors, including life sciences, energy, financial services, telecommunications, and technology.

Recent notable projects include:

  • Assisted in developing comprehensive intercompany transaction structure for global operations and implemented through intercompany agreements.
  • Implemented structure for expansion of manufacturing operations, including advising on GILTI, tax treaties, and other considerations, and coordinated with foreign counsel to implement structure.
  • Performed a detailed review of company financials and corporate documents to advise on reasonableness of accumulated earnings and business needs.
  • Analyzed five energy projects and three qualified facilities to opine on eligibility for the energy credit and the renewable electricity production credit, along with transferability of such credits.

Peter is also actively engaged in various pro bono matters, with a particular focus on supporting individuals in offer-in-compromise applications to the IRS and non-profit formations.
