Renato specializes in handling arbitration disputes. He provides advice and counsel to clients involved in arbitration proceedings related to public infrastructure contracts, including PPP and public procurement, in sectors such as water and sanitation, transport, education, municipal and national concessions, and others.

Additionally, he assists clients in evaluating potential claims against public tendering entities and provides guidance on contractual administration of concessions, public works and subcontracts, and service contracts under state procurement regulations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advised a Spanish sanitation company in two arbitration proceedings against a Peruvian public entity for alleged breaches of obligations and contractual termination, totaling USD 16,000,000.
  • Advised a group of international companies with branches in Peru in a complex arbitration case before the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) against a Peruvian state-owned company.
  • Advised a road infrastructure concessionaire in an arbitration before the Lima Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Centre. The proceedings were resumed due to the annulment of a formerly final award.
