Andrea Guzman

Andrea Guzman focuses her practice in the area of litigation in federal and state courts.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Andrea served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert N. Scola and the Honorable Lauren Louis in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.  During her clerkships, Andrea had the opportunity to work on complex matters, including class actions, contract disputes, securities violations, and criminal matters.  Andrea also clerked for the Honorable James E.C. Perry at the Florida Supreme Court.

As a Colombian native, Andrea is passionate about giving back to her community.  She serves on the Executive Committee on the Lideres Board for LatinoJustice PRLDEF, a national organization committed to creating a more just society for persons of color.  Andrea is also committed to maintaining a pro bono practice, including post-conviction death penalty appeals.
