Fernando Osawa Estevez
AssociateFernando Osawa joined the Firm in the Mexico City office in 2022. His area of expertise is commercial, bankruptcy and civil litigation, he also has extensive knowledge of amparo proceedings with emphasis on civil and commercial matters.
His areas of expertise include the representation of domestic and foreign clients before Mexican local and federal courts, litigating all types of disputes. His practice also involves bankruptcy litigation and judicial liquidation proceedings, with extensive experience representing both debtors and creditors in insolvency cases.
EXPERIENCE
- Represented creditors within the insolvency judicial proceedings of three of the major construction companies in Mexico.
- Participated in the first court-supervised liquidation proceeding of a banking institution in Mexico under the 2014 Banking Institutions Law reform.
- Represented several clients in the Amparo trials before the Federal Courts and the Supreme Court of Justice.
- Represented a major telecommunications company as a creditor in the insolvency proceedings of a stock exchange company.
