Ignacio advises on many aspects of international trade regulatory, with a particular focus on financial & trade sanctions and export controls. He has experience advising international clients across a range of sectors including financial services, energy, aviation, maritime, telecommunications, as well as luxury and consumer goods.

He provides day to day transactional compliance advice on EU and international sanctions and represents clients before European regulatory bodies, such as the Member States’ competent authorities or the European Commission on trade compliance matters, including license requests and consultations.

In addition, Ignacio advises clients on EU and international tech regulatory matters, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), satellites and telecommunications.

EXPERIENCE

  • Regularly advising on economic sanctions to clients in a wide range of sectors, such as financial services, maritime, aviation, energy, technology & telecommunications, and consumer goods.
  • Representing clients before European sanctions authorities and assisting them with the obtainment of authorisations.
  • Assisting several international financial institutions with its sanctions compliance obligations in the framework of their global operations.
  • Advising on EU and international tech regulatory matters, notably Artificial Intelligence (AI), satellite and telecommunications.
