EXPERIENCE

  • Providing advice and related representation as junior counsel at the Council and Environment Court level on resource consent applications and related appeal proceedings in Auckland and Waikato Region.
  • Assisting Auckland Council in regard to its significant Plan Change 78 to the Auckland Unitary Plan, including preparation of legal submissions.
  • Advising various local authorities on a range of resource management and environment related issues, including the interpretation of resource management planning instruments, building regulations and plan processes.
  • Advising private developers in regard to their resource consent applications under the Covid-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020.
  • Assisting with drafting the decisions of two expert consenting panels to grant resource consent for two separate solar farms in the North Island.
