Freddie is a Senior Associate in DLA Piper's Corporate team, with experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity capital investments, joint ventures, equity capital markets and corporate governance.

He advises clients across a range of sectors, including energy & natural resources, technology and media, sports & entertainment.

Freddie recently completed a secondment at UK Government Investments, the UK Government’s centre of excellence in asset sales, corporate finance and corporate governance.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising Philip Morris International on its USD16b acquisition of Swedish Match, representing a significant milestone in the delivery of PMI’s vision to become a smoke-free business.
  • Advising GoHenry, a London-based fintech specialising in financial services for children, on its acquisition by US saving and investment company Acorns for an undisclosed amount.
  • Advising Hoist Finance on the GBP370m sale of its UK collections business and GBP585m unsecured loan book to Lowell Group, one of Europe’s largest credit management companies.
  • Advising the Snowfox Group on its USD621m sale (including brands such as YO! Sushi) to the leading Japanese food group Zensho, the largest Consumer exit by a UK Private Equity firm in 2023.
  • Advising Eagle Football on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Olympique Lyonnais football club, valued at c. EUR800m.
  • Advising Della AI, the legal technology AI startup, on its seed funding round.
