Marta Clemente

Marta is Legal Director of the Corporate/M&A department of DLA Piper Spain. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in corporate and financial transactions in the fields of energy, infrastructure and transport.

Her practice focuses on the sale and purchase, development, construction and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, advising all types of investors, lenders and developers at all stages of the project. She also has experience in the establishment of structures for the production and sale of energy in the form of self-consumption, as well as in the negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs) from the point of view of both the buyer and the seller.

She has extensive experience in the field of projects with in-depth knowledge of export, construction and project finance support structures provided by export credit agencies.

In addition, she advises clients on corporate restructuring transactions and international hedge funds and other distressed operators on the sale and purchase of credit portfolios and real estate assets, with particular involvement in the acquisition process, financing and design of internal portfolio management mechanisms.
