Alexis Burgess

Of Counsel
About

Alexis Burgess champions clients facing their most significant litigation challenges. She has deep experience litigating a variety of high-stakes matters at the trial and appellate level, including complex business disputes, consumer and employment class actions, and intellectual property claims.

Known for her sharp and innovative analysis and strong but empathic writing, Alexis is particularly adept at navigating high-profile disputes of a more sensitive or provocative nature. Most recently, for example, Alexis has successfully defended leading hospitality companies in novel, nationwide litigation that tests the boundaries of third-party liability for businesses that unwittingly provide services to human traffickers and their victims. By using a strategic and business-oriented approach to litigation that achieves results both inside and outside of the courtroom, Alexis has become a trusted advisor and advocate for clients whose business and reputation are on the line.

In addition to her other work, Alexis zealously advocates for pro bono clients in matters primarily relating to human rights, immigration, and animal welfare.
