Berta is as senior associate in the Finance, Projects & Restructuring Department with particular focus on international finance transactions.

Berta advises international companies, banks and investment funds on different types of cross-border finance transactions, including debt acquisition, financings and restructurings. Berta also has experience in real estate and loans portfolio acquisitions and distressed assets trades.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising Pricoa Private Capital, the European asset management arm of PGIM Inc., on the provision of long-term financing worth EUR100m to Fair Market Value Capital Partners UK Limited and TD Asset Management Inc., to support the acquisition of a 28% stake in PSA Italy, a port operator and supply chain company, from PSA International.
  • Harrison Street in relation to an approximately EUR 200,000,000 financing with Athene Annuity and Life Company and CBRE Loan Services Limited for the acquisition and development of a residential asset, and subsequent fund commitments agreed therein
  • Nielsen Bidco US Inc and its Luxembourg subsidiary on the offering of USD 1.96bn 9.290% senior secured notes due 2029
  • A Dutch investment joint venture on the indirect acquisition from SAREB of a real estate portfolio through a Spanish banking assets fund (fondo de activos bancarios, FAB), a securitisation vehicle specifically created to aid the divestment mandate of SAREB*
  • A syndicate of international investment banks as lenders on the Spanish law aspects of the financing granted to an international investor to acquire one of the largest real estate portfolio in Spain from Banco de Sabadell*
  • A French leading bank group, as lender, on the Spanish law aspects of the financing granted to two SOCIMIs for the acquisition of different real estate portfolios*
  • An international investment firm as arranger on the Spanish law aspects of a RMBS backed by a portfolio of Spanish mortgage participations*
  • A German multinational investment bank and financial services company, as lender, on the Spanish law aspects of multiple financings granted to international investors for the acquisition of NPLs portfolios in Spain*
  • A leading alternatives investment management firm on the acquisition of several NPLs portfolios from a Spanish lending entity through two sociétés à responsabilité limitée incorporated in Luxembourg as purchasers*
