DLA Piper advises camLine on the acquisition of software provider iCADA

DLA Piper advised camLine Group, a company of the Finland-listed telecommunications group Elisa Oyj, on the acquisition of iCADA, a company based in Switzerland and Germany that specialises in software solutions, particularly in the field of semiconductor processes.

Elisa INDUSTRIQ is part of Elisa Oyj as a leading provider of operational intelligence in the industrial sector. camLine, which is part of the Elisa INDUSTRIQ division, is strengthening its portfolio with this acquisition, enabling its customers to optimise processes and sustainably advance the semiconductor industry. iCADA is a leading expert in semiconductor processes and process automation, specialising in lithography, metrology and material management, with installations in semiconductor production across the world.

The DLA Piper team was co-led by partner Dr Mathias Schulze Steinen, who had previously advised Elisa Oyj on the acquisition of camLine Group in 2020, and associate Nana Krähling (both Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt). In addition, partner Dr Burkhard Führmeyer (IP), counsel Thomas Gericke (Tax) and senior associate Marisa Machacek (IP; all Frankfurt) advised.
