DLA Piper maintains its “Best Lawyers” ranking in 2025 South Africa edition

DLA Piper has maintained its its standing in the 2025 edition of the “Best Lawyers” South Africa.  The South Africa office has a total of 11 directors ranked in the publication.  Johannes Gouws, Country Managing Partner was also recognised with the “Lawyer of the Year” 2025 award again for his work in the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) law in South Africa.

Recognition by Best Lawyers is based entirely on peer review. It’s methodology is designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
