DLA Piper advises Polish International Development Fund CEF 2 on investment in Polish owned Teknikum in Finland

DLA Piper has advised the Polish International Development Fund 2 FIZ AN, managed by PFR TFI S.A., on acquiring a 30% stake in Teknikum Group, a Finnish producer of wear-resistant and environmentally friendly polymer solutions. Since 19 December 2023, Teknikum Group has been owned by Sanok Rubber Company, a publicly listed company and a leader in the field of rubber products. The acquisition of the 30% stake  will support the company’s expansion in Finland, furthering the strategic goals of the Sanok Rubber Group.

The fund's investment is planned for a period of 7 to 10 years. The Foreign Expansion Fund 2 FIZ AN, which began operations in 2023, focusses on co-investing (as a minority investor) with Polish companies in international greenfield and brownfield projects, offering long-term, stable equity and debt financing. The previous fund, which concluded its financing period in 2023, completed over 20 investment agreements with a total value exceeding EUR100 million.

The transaction closing is contingent upon meeting certain conditions, including obtaining approval from the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment for the share acquisition by a foreign entity.
