DLA Piper bolsters renewable energy team

DLA Piper has today confirmed the appointment of Mr Maddison Hardiman as Senior Associate into its market-leading renewable energy team.

Maddison will be based in Melbourne, and brings with him considerable experience across the renewable energy sector having acted for both buyers and sellers on major renewable platforms, single asset divestments and acquisitions, energy transitions business and, most recently, for the Victorian State Electricity Commission ("SEC") on its investment into the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub, the largest BESS under construction in the Southern Hemisphere. He joins us from Herbert Smith Freehills.

Maddison joins DLA Piper following a recent round of promotions in its renewable energy team, including the elevation of renewable energy transition experts Simone Bajraszewski (Special Counsel, Corporate Energy, Melbourne) and Lisa Huynh (Senior Associate, Project Finance, Brisbane).

DLA Piper was this year ranked the number one Global Renewable Energy Legal Adviser by Inspiratia for the third consecutive year.
