DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Canadian General Counsel Eric L. Sherbine
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Eric Sherbine has joined the Canadian firm as General Counsel working out of our Vancouver office.
Eric Sherbine is an experienced conflicts lawyer. His role involves identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest and related compliance issues domestically and internationally, including giving legal advice on whether new retainers can be accepted in the context of existing clients, regulatory rules, and firm policies. In addition, he has extensive experience in, and has been a guest speaker on, legal research. Prior to moving to Canada, he practiced as a labour and employment lawyer with DLA Piper in the United States.
Before entering law, he worked for over ten years in the software industry in a number of different roles, including project manager, business analyst, engineer and trainer, in a variety of different industries, including telecommunications, insurance, banking, manufacturing, and aviation.
