DLA Piper advises Shell on its first power sector acquisition in Africa
DLA Piper has advised Shell on its acquisition of Daystar Power, Shell’s first power sector acquisition in Africa. Daystar Power operates in West Africa and provides solar power and battery solutions to business and industry across the region.
The DLA Piper team was led by London-based Corporate partners Chris Baird and Tracey Renshaw, with associates Julian Bajada and Victoria Artaza. Natasha Luther-Jones (Global Co-Chair ENR and International Head of SESG) and Sophie Linnell (Senior Associate) provided specialist input.
The DLA Piper Africa teams in Ghana, Mauritius, Nigeria and Senegal were led by partners Kizzita Mensah, Nicolas Richard, Dayo Idowu and Mouhamed Kebe respectively.
