Jeffrey S. Torosian appointed to World Business Chicago’s Board of Directors
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Jeffrey S. Torosian, a partner in the firm’s Litigation practice, has been appointed to World Business Chicago’s Board of Directors.
Chaired by the sitting Mayor of Chicago, World Business Chicago is the city’s official public-private economic development agency whose mission is “to drive inclusive economic growth and job creation, support businesses, and promote Chicago as the leading global city to help our existing companies expand as well as attract new companies.”
Torosian is a nationally renowned corporate trial lawyer and trusted advisor to corporate boards, senior executives and in-house counsels. His practice focuses on business disputes of nearly every kind, especially those involving business transactions – private equity litigation, M&A disputes, shareholder fights, corporate governance lawsuits, and bankruptcy trials, among others.
Torosian will bring to his new role nearly 30 years of experience trying major cases in courtrooms throughout the United States, managing complex, bet-the-company litigations and arbitrations, overseeing large litigation departments, and coordinating litigation teams around the world. As a member of the Board, Torosian will support World Business Chicago’s vision to make the city a worldwide role model for inclusive economic growth and one of the most business-friendly cities in the world.
