DLA Piper advises RoboBurger in its Seed 2 financing round

DLA Piper represented RoboBurger Enterprises Inc., creator of the world’s first fully-autonomous burger vending robot, in its Seed 2 financing round led by Promethean Investments LLP, a London-based private equity firm.

Founded in 2019 and based in Newark, NJ, RoboBurger’s mission is to increase the quality of 24-hour food offerings by providing freshly prepared food options in locations such as offices, universities and transportation hubs. With the Seed 2 funding round, RoboBurger will seek to ramp up production of its autonomous robot vendors and expand its geographic footprint.

“RoboBurger’s unique approach to serving its customers has the ability to revolutionize the fast-food industry, and our team was well-positioned to help it obtain this important funding,” said DLA Piper of counsel Deanna Reitman.

In addition to Reitman (Houston/New York), the DLA Piper team was co-led by partners Alex Meiseles (New York) and Glenn Reitman (Houston/New York) and included associates Madison Riede (Short Hills) and Sam Marll (Philadelphia).

DLA Piper’s Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice includes more than 200 lawyers in the US who provide strategic counsel to emerging companies in high-growth industries, including biotech, manufacturing, communications, software and semiconductors.
