DLA Piper continues expansion of European PE practice with new partner hire in Italy
DLA Piper has appointed private equity (PE) lawyer Gabriele Arcuri as a partner in its Corporate practice, based in Rome.
Gabriele Arcuri joins DLA Piper from a leading Italian firm, where he was a partner and has worked since 2006. He advises clients on a broad variety of corporate and commercial matters, including PE deals, M&A, corporate governance assistance on shareholders agreements and other governance topics, sale and purchase of assets as well as shares and leveraged buyout transactions.
Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper's Corporate Group, Bob Bishop, said: “Gabriele’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to deepening our PE practice across Europe, and adds significant additional weight to our capabilities in Italy. His arrival will position us to increase market share in the country and I am confident that he will add great value to our team.”
Gabriele’s hire follows the firm’s recent onboarding of a number of other private equity partners, including Piero Carbone from McDermott Will & Emery (London), Andrew Phillips from Eversheds (UK), Jakub Marcinkowski from CMS (Poland), Michaël Heene from Linklaters (Belgium) and Simon Vogel from Dentons (Germany), in addition to five internal partner promotions in European private equity over the last two years.
