John Guaragna named co-managing partner of DLA Piper's Austin office
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that John Guaragna has been named co-managing partner of the Austin office, joining John Gilluly, who serves as managing partner for the firm's Texas offices.
Guaragna, who focuses his practice on technology and intellectual property counseling and litigation, has represented clients at trial in antitrust, patent and trademark cases in district courts throughout the US and in the International Trade Commission.
Guaragna also has extensive experience relating to industry standard-setting and the intersection between patent law and antitrust law, including a three-month antitrust trial before the Federal Trade Commission. Before he began practicing law, Guaragna spent seven years on active duty as a surface line officer in the United States Navy.
