Maurício focuses his practice in Brazilian labor and social security law, particularly with regard to collective labor matters and union relations. He advises clients on issues involving negotiations and collective matters, as in the negotiation of Profit Sharing Plans, collective bargaining agreements, roundtables, strikes, collective dismissal, restructuring process, mediations and labor disputes involving unions and labor authorities. He also provides legal advice on employment matters, immigration and outsourcing structures.
Mauricio's client list is extensive, and includes leading companies in energy, oil and gas, telecommunications, maritime and technology.
In addition to providing legal representation, Mauricio teaches "Complex Negotiation Strategies" to post-graduate and MBA students at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro, and is a visiting professor at Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications (BUPT), Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Hong Kong University. He lectures on complex negotiations in Latin America.
Before joining Campos Mello Advogados in 2016, Maurício served as partner at two prominent global and Brazilian law firms, managing their Employment & Benefits practices in Latin America. In addition, Mauricio worked as the Labor Legal Manager at a telecom company and was responsible for labor litigation and advising on preventive measures, providing representation in collective bargaining agreement negotiations, managing outsourced contracts, and overseeing occupational health and safety services.
