DLA Piper advises Fiserv on their acquisition of CCV

Global law firm DLA Piper has advised Fiserv, a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology, on its acquisition of CCV, a prominent payment solutions provider in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

This strategic acquisition enables Fiserv to accelerate the deployment of its Clover platform and operating system across Europe, enhancing capabilities and driving innovation for a growing network of merchants and partners. Additionally, the transaction optimises the operational and client support models of both Fiserv and CCV, creating a robust omnichannel offering that allows more businesses across Europe to seamlessly accept payments through Fiserv’s comprehensive suite of products.

David Carthy, Éanna Mellett, Stefan Spaans and Darach Connolly, who led the matter, commented:

“We are proud to have advised Fiserv on this significant acquisition, strengthening its presence in the European payments market. This transaction highlights the rapid evolution of the fintech sector and the growing demand for seamless, cross-border payment solutions”.

The advising DLA Piper team, led by David Carthy, Éanna Mellett (Ireland) and Stefan Spaans (the Netherlands), Darach Connolly, comprised  Dara McDonald, Lindi Raath, Jo Kane, Laoise McMahon, Rebecca Clabby and Hannah Foulsham from our Dublin office, Paul Hopman, Aline Kiers, Rik van Weenen, Sven van der Meer, Christiane Kokol, Jan van Schooten and Danique Westerbeek from our Amsterdam office.
