DLA Piper advises Sciforma shareholders as part of the sale of the group to Planview

DLA Piper has advised the management and shareholders of Sciforma, a global provider of project and portfolio management (PPM) software, on its acquisition by Planview, a leading platform for Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Digital Product Development (DPD) for IT departments, and a portfolio company of TPG and TA Associates.

This transaction strengthens Planview's position in Europe, offering its clients enhanced support in PPM and Product Development solutions and offering unprecedented regional coverage to support organizations at every stage of PPM maturity. Sciforma's clients will continue to use its current solutions while benefiting from Planview's complete spectrum of solutions and expertise.

This complex and highly competitive transaction highlights DLA Piper's capacity to assist foreign investment funds like Symphony Technology Group (STG), based in Palo Alto in the United States, in their international operations. DLA Piper teams from several offices across Luxembourg, Australia, Germany, England, the Netherlands and the United States supported the transaction.

DLA Piper has advised STG for many years in their acquisitions and growth operations in France and Europe. These include acquisitions of Sciforma, Klaxoon, Trace One, Onclusive, One2Team, Reputable Intelligence, KeyedIn Solutions by Sciforma and Digimind by Onclusive.

The team was led by Sarmad Haidar, partner in the firm's Corporate practice. He was supported by Tax partner, Raphaël Béra, Lit & Reg partner, Edouard Sarrazin, Finance partner, Sophie Lok, Louis-Augustin Jourdan (counsel, Tax), Gertjan Dewilde (senior associate, Corporate), and associates Antoine Gravier (Corporate), Mattieu Loonis (Finance) and Quitterie Stein (Lit & Reg).
