Jana Weichseldorfer-Spuhl advises national and international companies as well as individuals in the area of white-collar crime.

In the area of corporate representation, she particularly advises companies that have been harmed by third parties. Furthermore, she advises companies whose employees have committed criminal offences in the alleged interest of the company. In this context, Jana’s activities include the representation of companies and individuals vis-à-vis investigating authorities and courts.

Furthermore, one of the main focuses of Jana’s work is advising in connection with extensive internal investigations. In addition to the forensic review and legal evaluation of relevant documents and conducting interviews with employees, she coordinates the collaboration with other teams from various legal areas, maintains contact with authorities and acts as a contact person to the employees of the compliance, audit and legal departments.

She also advises companies on compliance issues. In this area she advises in particular on the introduction, further development and review of compliance systems or anti-corruption guidelines.

  • Advising a leading financial investor in commercial real estate in connection with a criminal tax investigation by a tax office and representation vis-à-vis the authorities.
  • Advising a leading international automotive supplier on a comprehensive internal investigation, including numerous employee surveys on possible criminal offences committed by former managing directors, and representing the company vis-à-vis the investigation authorities.
  • Ongoing advice of an internationally operating technology expert in connection with the implementation and revision of compliance guidelines.
  • Advising an industrial group on a comprehensive cross-border internal investigation, including several employee interviews regarding possible criminal offences.
  • Advising a casino in connection with the coordination of a compliance investigation conducted by various internal and external teams regarding cash flow irregularities within the company; preparation of a criminal complaint and representation vis-à-vis the authorities.
