Christopher advises and represents clients in the resolution of their disputes. 

A British-German dual national, Christopher’s practice focusses on complex commercial arbitrations seated in and governed by various jurisdictions and applicable laws. 

Christopher has acted as counsel and tribunal secretary under both institutional (Swiss Rules, ICC, LCIA and DIS) as well as ad hoc rules. He has handled more than 200 sports arbitrations as legal counsel to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland.  

Christopher has also acted as arbitrator and is a qualified mediator for commercial affairs.

Christopher has been involved in a range of commercial and contractual disputes in several industries and sectors, including construction and engineering, energy, commodities and energy trading, M&A, as well as agency, service and procurement agreements in the industrial and defence sector. Christopher also advises and represents clients in sports disputes.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Christopher worked as a Senior Associate in an arbitration and business law boutique in Geneva, Switzerland, and as Legal Counsel at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.

Before qualifying as a lawyer, Christopher worked for over ten years for a US investment research firm, advising institutional investors.
