Lucas Blum advises national and international companies on all aspects of German and European law relating to data protection law and information technology.Lucas focuses on advising the automotive sector and regarding legal aspects in the context of internet of things and digital business models. He also advises on innovative trends such as data analytics and artificial intelligence and issues related to cyber security. Since 2018 Lucas has accompanied numerous GDPR compliance programs of clients in various industries.

    Prior Experience

    Before joining DLA Piper in 2020, Lucas Blum worked for a law firm in the field of data protection and it law in Berlin (2018-2020). Prior to that, he gained professional experience in the Innovation Lab of a German automotive manufacturer in Silicon Valley, California (2018). During his legal traineeship (2015-2017) Lucas worked inter alia for an international law firm in Berlin (Intellectual Property and Technology practice group) and the German Embassy Canberra, Australia.
