DLA Piper advised TPSolar on 28.5 MWp Netherlands solar park

Global law firm DLA Piper has advised solar park developer, builder, financier and manager TPSolar on reaching Financial Close for the 28.5 MWp ground-mounted Kriekampen Solar Park, located in the Netherlands municipality of Oirschot. This milestone marks a significant step in advancing sustainable energy initiatives in the region.

The Kriekampen Solar Park, a collaborative effort between TPSolar Nederland B.V. and 8 local landowners, spans approximately 25 hectares and is designed to generate sufficient renewable energy to power around 8,400 households annually. The project is a crucial contributor to Oirschot’s ambition of becoming energy-neutral by 2040.

Further, a distinctive aspect of the Kriekampen Solar Park is that the solar park, with the help of a regional fund, will annually contribute a portion of the electricity revenues to the local community.

Gerard Kneppers, partner and head of the Netherlands finance practice at DLA Piper comments: "This project exemplifies how sustainable energy solutions and local partnerships can drive meaningful contributions to a greener future."
