Eric J. Risley, Jr. (E.J.) focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, equity and debt financings, joint ventures, and a range of other general corporate matters, primarily representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies and other corporate clients. E.J. advises clients in a broad range of industries, including healthcare, insurance, business and consumer services, data security, food and beverage, technology, and software.
Prior to joining DLA Piper, E.J. was a Managing Associate in the M&A and Private Equity group of the Boston office of a global law firm, where he advised private equity funds and their portfolio companies, venture capital funds, and other corporate clients with a range of transactions and matters, including mergers and acquisitions, early- and late-stage venture capital investments, and general corporate matters.
