Welcome to the 11th edition of our Energy & Natural Resources Case Law Update, where we highlight some of the key English court decisions and events from the second half of 2023 that are of particular relevance to those working in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.

In a period that once again saw energy companies making headlines, the articles in this update cover everything from anti-suit injunctions and attempts to limit liability, to state immunity and climate-related litigation. We also consider the impact of the UK formally giving notice of its withdrawal from the European Energy Charter Treaty, which is just the latest in a series of recent withdrawals by ECT member states.
