Sustainability Report 2024
Halfway through the decade of action: doubling down on achieving our goals
DLA Piper has a longstanding commitment to sustainability. An important part of our sustainability strategy is regular, credible, robust sustainability reporting, so we can see the progress we are making and at the same time, the challenges we face and the work still to do. This report aims to provide clear answers about our sustainability vision and goals, priorities and practices, performance and impacts.
Impact Summary
This report gives our stakeholders a concise account of how we’re addressing the sustainability topics that are most important to our firm and to them. It summarises our progress on our material sustainability and ESG issues. In addition, we’ve published three thematic deep dive reports which provide more detailed accounts of progress on our most material issues.
Download the Impact Summary 2024At DLA Piper, we recognise the urgent need for society to transition to a world where global warming is limited to 1.5ºC. We’re committed to doing our part, and more if we can, to achieve this goal. This report gives an update on our climate actions and progress towards becoming a net zero business over the past year.
Prioritising Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) helps us create an inclusive and diverse workforce, bringing together colleagues with different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences. This report gives an update on our actions and progress in the areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Health and Wellbeing, and Nurturing Talent.
As a global law firm with 55 offices in 34 countries, we have an opportunity to contribute to positive societal change. We’re determined to use our expertise and resources to address inequality, support marginalised communities and make a positive impact on society. This report gives an update on our societal impact ambitions and actions over the past year.
"This report sets out solid progress in de-carbonising the firm's direct operations, but it is also clear that there is still much to do to achieve our net zero ambition. Transitioning to a net zero future will require a new understanding of our climate impacts beyond our direct operations. How we assess and manage these is a new challenge and opportunity for all law firms."
Charles Severs, Global Co-CEO and International Managing Partner
