Joe Stefano

Joe Stefano advises on domestic and international debt finance transactions. He brings more than 25 years of experience in structuring and restructuring the full array of secured and unsecured corporate financings, across a wide spectrum of industries.

Joe has particularly extensive experience with project, renewable energy and infrastructure finance transactions and big-ticket asset finance transactions, often acting on deals that involve financing or credit support provided by export credit, multi-lateral, or other government agencies (including the U.S Department of Energy). He also has significant experience working on leveraged, asset-based and receivable, trade and commodity financings, as well as hybrid debt and equity/joint venture transactions and other special opportunities transactions.

His clients include commercial banks, private credit providers, agents, as well as project sponsors and other borrowers. This diverse client base has provided Joe with an invaluable 360-degree perspective on transactional issues.

Joe has negotiated, documented and closed a variety of bespoke or "first-of-its-kind" deal structures.
