Laura Gastaldi

Laura deals with the protection of intellectual property rights, both out of Court as well as in complex litigations, advising Italian and international clients on patents, trade secrets, trademarks, designs and unfair competition.

Her area of expertise is mainly focused on patent and trade secret litigation, where she regularly assists multinational companies operating in a wide range of industries. She has also gained extensive experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements related to industrial property rights, such as license agreements, co-existence and assignment agreements, also in the context of extraordinary transactions.

Laura has been a speaker at various conferences and a visiting lecturer at several courses with a particular focus on patents and know-how, as well as licensing and selective distribution agreements.

Before joining DLA Piper in 2018 she worked in a prestigious Italian IP law firm.
