  • Acting for Patron Capital VII LP in the purchase of Livingston Designer Retail Outlet (the largest outlet mall in Scotland).
  • Acting for Coal Pension Properties Limited in the sale of BP's North Sea headquarters in Aberdeen.
  • Advising Marriott International on real estate issues associated with their franchise portfolio in Scotland, including the AC by Marriott in Glasgow, a new Marriott Tribute hotel in Edinburgh and on real estate aspects of the opening of the W Hotel, Edinburgh.
  • Advising The Royal Bank of Scotland plc / NatWest in the management of its property portfolio in Scotland, particularly in the acquisition and disposal of the Bank's property, the recent acquisition of an archive building in Edinburgh.
  • Representing Aareal Bank AG in providing development financing for The Caledonian Hotel, Edinburgh and the Hilton Carlton hotel, Edinburgh.
  • Representing Sandman Hotel Group in relation to the financing and development of various hotel sites in Scotland, most recently the Sandman Signature Hotel, Glasgow.
  • Acting for Summix Capital Limited on the acquisition of a large development site and office in central Glasgow.
  • Advising BioCity on its life science incubation business in Scotland.
  • Acting for Resident Hotels in their acquisition of a hotel redevelopment site in Edinburgh city centre, as well as in their corporate acquisition of Sleeperz Hotels.
  • Advising Hilton Worldwide on their international property and franchise portfolio, including transactions in West Africa.
  • Acting for Leonardo Hotels in their purchase of the Portland Group (five hotels) in Scotland, as well as on operational leasing structures and various other legal matters associated with their UK portfolio.
  • Advising a large-scale developer client on the development of the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
  • Advising Heineken on its tied pub portfolio in Scotland as well as assisting in the acquisition of 1,900 pubs from Punch Taverns.
