Jennifer Cleall, K.C. is a partner in DLA Piper’s Edmonton office where she practises business law, with a particular emphasis on corporate/commercial and real estate matters. Jennifer was recognized in 2009 with the prestigious Lexpert Rising Star: Leading Lawyer Under 40 award.
Jennifer has over 20 years experience providing strategic advice to domestic and international clients in a broad range of commercial matters, including:
- mergers, acquisitions and sales, particularly in the construction, oil and gas and manufacturing sectors;
- office, retail and industrial leasing, with a particular emphasis on those in the consumer products and retail sectors;
- Shareholder disputes;
- all aspects of corporate governance and corporate board matters;
- real estate development
- joint ventures, partnerships and corporate reorganization
Jennifer represents clients involved in a wide variety of industries, including construction, energy, consumer and retail products, manufacturing, transportation, government agencies and waste management. As a key advisor to each organization, Jennifer draws on specialized areas of the firm, including tax, litigation, IP and employment law services, to ensure that her clients’ legal needs are met in a timely, cost-effective and thoughtful way.
Jennifer acts as the Chair of the Steering Committee for DLA Piper Canada’s Legal Alliance for Women (LAW) and is the Canadian liaison to the Steering Committee for US LAW.
